The Graduate Student Instructor Orientation (GSITO), is an orientation for incoming GSIs to acclimate them to the university while providing teaching techniques and knowledge.

I was tasked with creating a logo and branding for this unique orientation. When thinking about this program and its many facets, I combined elements of scaffolding, building blocks, ink nibs, and arrows for direction. The goal was to keep with U-M branding while avoiding expected teaching iconography to develop a symbol that represents the event while feeling fresh.
